2012 Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes Part 1

I had the chance to see many of the homes in the Northern Wasatch Parade this year.  Like every year, there were the good, the bad, and the ugly! I have compiled some of my favorite ideas for your viewing.

The Bridgeport by Henry Walker
Unique application of open frames above the fireplace.
The wall paper used in the kitchen is probably something I would have not picked out, but it is such a fun application and I think it works for the space.
Love the Schumacher fabric in the custom bedding.
Darling little loft with vintage pieces.

Georgetown Craftsman by Rainy Homes
I love the architectural details throughout this home.
Who wouldn't want to unwind in that gorgeous freestanding tub with a view like that?!
What a fun little sectional in the rec room! And that view!!

The Harrison by Sky Properties (Skillco Construction)
Darling girls room. I love the unique chandelier.

The Lincoln by Mercedes Construction
Use of mixed wood finishes (white and grey) and granites done beautifully.
Love the light and the idea of a chalk board wall in the family "hub".
The storage baskets shown here are a great family friendly design idea. Just store away toys for a tidy space!
Fun pops of colors in bedroom. We are still seeing painted furniture as a hot trend. What an easy and affordable DIY project. Do you think you could go bold with this cut grass color?
Gorgeous installation of tile in herringbone pattern.

Tranquility by Martineau Homes Inc.
Loving all the attention to details on the millwork in this home. I would love to curl up with a book on one of these window seats flanking the fireplace!
What a neat feature these sliding barn doors were for the option to close off the library that is open to the front if privacy is needed.
I am dying at this kitchen. The mercury glass pendants, beautiful to ceiling cabinentry and backsplash were all very tastefully done.
Every woman needs a vanity like this! Simply open the doors to makeup lighting and all your every day products, straightener, etc, and close for an instantly polished and clean bathroom. So very practical.
Great architectural lines in this little bedroom.
I enjoyed how some of the theater rooms are a little more open to the kitchen and bar but still make a statement.
This second kitchen was a breath of fresh air and so fun with the all the mixing of finishes. It was the right dose of risk for me without being overdone.
Darling bedroom with feminie details including a chandelier that was to die for!
I don't think I would even mind doing laundry if I had this room to do it in! That tile backsplash is gorgeous.
What. A. Yard. Imagine a back yard wedding or any entertaining.

I hope you enjoyed some of the details like I did. Stay tuned for my favorites from the parade part 2!
